"Founded by Benjamin Farkas on the back of a desire to attend his sister overseas’ wedding at a time it wasn’t possible to travel (pre-Covid), Benjamin bought a second-hand Double robot so he could feel a sense of presence at the ceremony and events. Since then Benjamin has partnered with Double Robotics and has been an official reseller since 2019, empowering businesses of all sizes with this essential 21st-century telecommunication tool. Benjamin is also the director of a highly successful Virtual Reality Technology consultancy and filming studio, AnueX. Double Robotics is the creator of Double, the world’s leading telepresence robot. Double helps telecommuters feel more connected to their colleagues by giving them a physical presence where they can’t be in person, whether it’s the office, classroom, or conference.
Backed by the prestigious Y Combinator startup accelerator in 2012, Double Robotics began shipping in May 2013. The founders include David Cann, a designer and iOS developer, and Marc DeVidts, an electrical/embedded systems engineer. The company is located in Burlingame, California."
