English is difficult to learn to read because it is not phonetic, that is, the spelling and pronunciation of words are unpredictable.Readable English makes English fully phonetic by adding syllable breaks to words, greying out silent characters, and adding intuitive visual cues, called glyphs, that tell you exactly what sound each letter will make.
With Readable English there are no complicated rules to memorise and both children learning to read and English language learners can successfully sound out any word. Our system makes English phonetic, all without changing the spelling of the word, a vital component of sight word recognition.
