Located on the beautiful Darling Downs, Leyburn is a just a 2.5 hour drive from Brisbane and is a great destination for a weekend escape. Leyburn boasts a relaxed and friendly country atmosphere created by the 350 or so people living in the region. The town is rich in history that dates back to the early 1800’s which is evidenced by the photos displayed at the RSL Museum located behind the Motel/Cabins. Leyburn is also home to the Annual Historic Leyburn Sprints held every August. Also, be sure to drop into the pub, the Royal Hotel, on your visit for a friendly chat; it’s located right across the road! Should you need any supplies on your stay the local General Store is only a stone’s throw away.
