Heartattack and Vine were started by a team of four people: Jono Hill and Hootan Heydari (the pair behind previous cafés a minor place and Wide Open Road), and Emily Bitto and Nathen Doyle. The initial idea grew out of a trip that Emily and Hootan made to Italy and Spain in 2014, where they fell in love with the simplicity and hospitality of the many small neighbourhood bars they hung out in. Our cheapest Bar in Carlton North and its surrounding areas like Collingwood, Wine Bar, Espresso Bar, Vegan And Vegetarian, Tapas are the Heartattack and Vine is based on this model of the classic European neighbourhood bar/café, open day and night, where things are kept simple and the focus is on warmth, hospitality, friendliness and quality.
