Athlegen is a true Australian success story it was founded in 1986 in an Adelaide garage by Rick Schmidt and Jeff Toering, two ex-RAAF technicians turned massage therapists. From these humble beginnings, and a single portable table model, Athlegen has grown to become a market-leading designer, manufacturer, and distributor of power-driven and portable massage and treatment tables and related equipment.
Working closely with major industry associations, practitioners and their patients, we have been building and refining our treatment table range for more than 30 years. We support modalities that include physiotherapy, massage, podiatry, general practice, chiropractic, osteopathy, spa and beauty. No matter what your field, Athlegen has the table for you.
Our Australian made Athlegen products are designed and built to last. Many tables sold 30 years ago are still in constant daily use. All Australian made Pro-Lift tables come with a 15-year structural warranty as standard. This is backed up by an industry-leading, in-house quick response service team located throughout Australia.
Athlegen is an internationally recognised brand that is known intrinsically for the quality and after sales service of our products. Athlegen has proudly supplied treatment tables to the Australian Olympic Team (in London, Beijing, Athens, Sydney, Sochi etc), and many other national and local sporting organisations. With a reputation for quality and comfort, Athlegen tables have also been selected for some of the world’s most luxurious spa locations and have been exported to more than 40 countries, from coastal resorts in Broome, to 7-star hotels in Dubai.
Our design-led business features a Design Centre in Melbourne, a highly automated manufacturing facility in Ballarat, the largest treatment table showroom in the Southern Hemisphere in Sydney, together with a warehouse and showroom in Fremantle WA. Athlegen is currently in the process of designing and building a new factory in Ballarat to facilitate growth within Australia and in export markets.
Our treatment table range also includes Centurion quality yet affordable imported products. Centurion products are designed in Australia by Athlegen and meet Athlegen's strict quality controls and standards. Centurion treatment tables are also supported by our industry-leading, in-house quick response service team.
Athlegen is 100% Australian owned and all design is done in Australia. All Athlegen branded products continue to be fully manufactured in Australia and we remain committed to this principle, focusing on what we do best; providing practitioners and their patients with the strongest and most reliable treatment tables available anywhere.
